So we want to dedicate this post, and we will be writing more and more posts which will promote this amazing neighborhood and all it has to offer.
Here in Bushwick we have so much, from a great selection of restaurants, to shops to art.
If you have any questions about Bushwick please feel free to contact us, we would love to suggest places for you to come and visit if you are planning on being in the Bushwick area.
So here are a few of our favorite places at the moment, and since we know we still have many more places to go and visit and try we will continue to post about Bushwick and what is going on in the neighborhood!
El Mio Cid Spanish Tapas Restaurant
Recently we had dinner at this amazing Spanish Restaurant!
We had 6 different tapas, one of them being the Cold Seafood Salad which was amazing and at $8 for the plate a great deal considering the amount of seafood and variety was very generous!
One of our favorite Hot Tapas that we tried were the Spanish Traditional Style Meatballs $(7), so delicious we were asking for more bread just to soak up all the left over sauce on the plate :)
We also had the Sangria, because we had heard that when we went to try this restaurant we had to try the sangria, which is definitely a must when you go to El Mio Cid!
And then on top of all the delicious food and drinks, the service was excellent! Everything was timed to come out perfectly, we had a constant amount of different food on our table!
And please finish up your meal with a flan :)
I am a big snob about flan and am very picky about finding the right one,
well, El Mio Cid, definitely knows how do do flan.
So next time you are on 50 Starr Street (and Wilson Avenue) and want to sit down to a wonderful meal then swing by El Mio Cid, we know this will become one of your new favorite spots in Bushwick.
Check out more of their menu on their website at : www.elmiocidrestaurant.com
Up Next is our new favorite Mexican Restaurant in the neighborhood,
Mr. Taco, right on broadway in between Melrose and Jefferson.
Mr. Taco just opened up, and they have a HUGE menu and everything is delicious and the prices are unbeatable! Our favorite is the Burrito, you can choose what ever kind of meat you want, and at $6 you can't beat this huge burrito, which ends up turning into two meals it is sooooo big!
There is also the fresh baked bread, donuts and cake :) mmmmmm.... we love sweets :)
Other things we like are the Huaraches, which is a tortilla with cheese, beans, lettuce, cream, etc, its a HUGE tortilla with a whole bunch of deliciousness on it, and if you are only in the budget to spend $3 on lunch or dinner then we suggest you try one of their Huaraches :) There is an additional charge for meat, but honestly you don't even miss the meat they are so good plain!
Definitely swing by here if your hungry and need a quick, authentic meal.
Mi Parrador On Broadway and Melrose
Mi Parrador is delicious!
This is a Dominican restaurant, with a wide range of other kinds of Latin Food as well, and our favorite part is the Hot Food section which is always ready to go, no waiting involved :)
From the Hot Food section you can pick anything from a plate with rice and your selection of meat, to just a plate of BBQ Ribs, mmmmm... , soooo delicious, and only $6 bucks! Can't beat that!
We also love love love their Tres Leches :)
And on top of that all the people who work there are awesome! Always so nice!
They also have televisions and beer, so if your looking for a place to go and sit, watch a game, have some beers and some delicious food, then Mi Parrador is perfect!
