The opening show is August 9th from 6-9pm and the show will run until Friday, August 17th.
Come by and visit during the opening night and if you can't make it Thursday come by sometime during the week and check out some amazing work!

Evelyn Luc
Artist Statement
Evelyn Luc is a young female
painter whose work includes watercolour, oils, sculpture and installation art.
The artist litters her work with symbolism and emotional imagery, drawing on
current events literature and fashion magazines for inspiration.
The works included in the Loft594
Gallery are a collection of qouache paintings inspired by the arrival of the
artist in a new country. Themes of wonderment, the new and unfamiliar are
present along with tinges of homesickness and insomnia. A quote for contemplation
when viewing the works is by Oscar Wilde:“Nothing can cure the soul but the
sense, just as nothing can cure the sense but the soul” which resonated with
the artist whilst creating the works. The late artists Willem De Kooning and
Henri Matisse are cited as influences for this body of work.
